Caring for Diamonds
Caring for your diamond is imperative. Even though diamonds are the hardest
substance known to man, a diamond will scratch another diamond. To prevent
chips and scratches, different pieces of jewelry must not be stored together.
Diamond jewelry should never be worn while performing physical labor.
Even everyday activity can loosen a setting. Have your jewelry cleaned
and inspected on a yearly basis. Your jeweler should also monitor the
stability of the piece's setting. Conscientious care will preserve the
beauty of your diamond for years. Between annual evaluations, clean your
diamond at home. Here are some recommended methods.

Mild Liquid Detergent Fill a small bowl with warm
water and mild dishwashing liquid. Delicately brush the diamond with a
soft toothbrush while immersed in the suds. Plug the drain in your sink
and rinse each piece under lukewarm faucet water and dry with a lint free
cloth.
Household Ammonia Fill a bowl with a solution of equal
parts ammonia and cold water. Set the diamond in the liquid for thirty
minutes. Remove the piece and brush gently with a small, soft brush. Rinse
the diamond under cool tap water and drain on tissue paper.

cleaner and follow the instruction given on the label.
Vodka on the Rocks Simply let the diamond soak in a glass
